In modern industry and scientific research, maf meter as a key measuring instrument, its accuracy and reliability directly affect the energy management, environmental monitoring, process control and other fields of operation efficiency and safety. In order to ensure the interoperability and quality consistency of maf meters on a global scale, international and domestic regulations and standards systems have put forward strict requirements for their design, production and use. This article provides an overview of how these regulations and standards affect the entire life cycle of maf meters.
From an international perspective, the standards issued by ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) are globally recognized technical specifications. For example, the ISO 5167 series of standards details the design principles and calibration methods of differential pressure flowmeters, while IEC 61518 focuses on the safety requirements of gas flowmeters. These standards not only provide design guidelines for manufacturers, but also provide the basis for the end user to choose the right equipment.
Under the framework of the International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML), the standard R137-1:2006 "Gas flow meters" specifies the metering performance, structural materials, electromagnetic compatibility and other aspects of gas flow meters in detail. The standard requires that all flowmeters entering the market must undergo rigorous type approval and regular calibration to ensure long-term stability and accuracy.
