ExThera Medical announced on Thursday, July 18, that researchers had successfully deployed Seraph® 100 blood filtration media, a novel cancer treatment technology designed to remove Circulating Tumor Cells (CTCs) from pancreatic cancer patients’ bloodstreams.
Peter Kuhn, PhD, the study’s lead researcher, co-authors, and the CEO of ExThera Medica, Erin Borger, affirmed that the novel blood filtration device presents an immense opportunity to improve the care of pancreatic cancer patients and has potential application in treating other types of cancer.
